New 1,2,4-triazoles and 1,3,4-oxadiazoles Derivatives with a 5H-dibenzo[a,d] [7] Annulene Moieties with Potential Antimicrobial Activity

This paper presents the synthesis and characterization of the new 2-amino-1,3,4-oxadiazoles 4a-c and 1,2,4-triazoles 6b,d substituted with 5H-dibenzo[a,d][7]annulene moiety. The synthesis of the intermediates used for the preparation of the new compounds was described in a previous papers [1,2] For the synthesis of the target compounds, the steps outlined in Scheme I were followed. All the new compounds were extensively characterized by elemental analysis, IR-, UV and NMR spectroscopy. The new compounds will be screened for their in vitro antibacterial and antifungal activity.
