In the title compound, [Zn(C6H8N2)(3)(H2O)](C7H7SO3)(2)center dot-3H(2)O, the Zn atom has a slightly tetragonally distorted octahedral geometry, with four shorter equatorial Zn-N and Zn-O bonds [2.153 (4)-2.189 (3) angstrom] and two longer axial Zn-N bonds [2.239 (4) and 2.243 (4) angstrom]. The crystal packing is stabilized by weak intermolecular N-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds.
