摘要
The goal of this article is to provide an overview of market needs and opportunities regarding the development of new drugs against leishmaniasis, an emergent infection that is spreading throughout the world. We provide an analysis of the current pipeline and discuss how the new scenario in drug discovery and development for neglected diseases may favor the entry of smaller players in the market of new therapeutics.
