摘要
A novel fiber Bragg grating (FBG)-based chirp-coded enl decoder is proposed for a coherent two-dimensional (2D) rune-spreading wavelength-hopping optical code-division multiple-access system. Combined with reconstruction-equivalent-chirp technology, the proposed coder can be easily realized in a single FBG with a conventional fabrication setup. Compared with other 2D encoders, the chirp-coded encoders are expected to provide enhanced security, increased power efficiency, expanded code cardinality, and reduced coherent beat noise. Experimental results of such en/decoders and the corresponding system test-bed at a data rate of 5 Gb/s verify the feasibility.
