摘要

Formation damage caused by drilling, cementation, perforation, etc is a major problem facing oil and gas wells by reducing hydrocarbon production. Acidizing is an effective technique in carbonate reservoirs to reduce formation damages. Rotating disk reactor is an apparatus to measure reaction rate, reaction order, reaction rate constant, activation energy and diffusion coefficient. The author performed a core flood experiment with a dolomitic reservoir rock with hydrochloric acid and a face dissolution pattern is observed. In this study, the acidizing process is simulated with finite element codes and the flow pattern is observed qualitatively and the model is validated. In the simulation, model proposed by Panga is used. An optimum discretization method of the equations is employed in the simulation. In previous simulation studies, it was assumed that the reaction rate between mineral rocks with acid is first order therefore, linear model was constructed. In this study, by using a rotating disk reactor, it was shown that assumption of first order is not correct and non-linear model is constructed.
