A new 1-D extended vanadoborate containing triply bridged metal complex units

摘要

A new 1-D vanadoborate {[Na(H2O)(4)](3)[V12B18O54(OH)(6)(H2O)](2)}(H(4)tren)(4)center dot(H3O)center dot 41H(2)O (1, tren = tris(2-aminoethyl)amine) has been hydrothermally synthesized and structurally characterized. 1 consists of 1-D polymeric anions {[Na(H2O)(4)](3)[V12B18O54(OH)(6)(H2O)](2)(17-)}(n), protonated H(4)tren(4+), H3O+ ions and free H2O molecules. The [V12B18O54(OH)(6)(H2O)](10-) clusters (denoted on V12B18) are connected by three complex [Na(H2O)(4)](+) ions as bridges into 1-D chain. 1 is the only example of triply bridged vanadoborate units by three metal complex units. The magnetic susceptibility shows the antiferromagnetic interaction between V-IV cations in 1.
