摘要

This letter presents a closed-form adaptive power allocation solution to minimize the expected power consumption for meeting a delay-limited capacity constraint of a multiple-input multiple-output (MIMO) block-fading (BF) channel based on causal channel side information (CSI) at the transmitter. Numerical results demonstrate that the proposed solution achieves near-optimal performance within only a fraction of decibel while avoiding the use of the highly complex dynamic programming (DP) needed for obtaining the optimal power allocation.
