摘要
An efficient method for the synthesis of a series of 4-phenylhexahydro-1H-pyrano[2,3-d]pyrimidin-2(8aH)-one derivatives via the one-pot three-component reaction of aromatic aldehydes, urea or thiourea and 3,4-dihydro-2H-pyran in DMF/CH(3)CN using p-TSA catalyst is described. Although three chiral centers are created, only one diastereomer is formed in a highly selective way. This method has several advantages such as higher yield, lower cost, and shorter reaction times.
