The title compound, C34H32N10 center dot 4CH(4)O center dot 2H(2)O, crystallizes with the mid-point of the central C-C bond of the tetrabenzimidazolylethanediamine molecule located on an inversion centre. The crystal packing is stabilized by O(or N)-H center dot center dot center dot O and O-H center dot center dot center dot N hydrogen bonds.
