摘要

In this article, a baseband digital predistortion (DPD) radio frequency (RF) power amplifier (PA), based on the complex gain compensation and adaptive algorithm, is investigated. First, the nonlinear characters of the power amplifier are described. Next, based on the nonlinear model of the power amplifier, the mechanism and algorithm of the digital, baseband predistortion arc, presented. A complete DPD system, including a digital board for implementing the DPD algorithm and an RF board with a sample PA, is then developed. Finally, the performance of the DPD system is tested and experimental results are obtained. Significant improvement of linearity can be observed when different kinds of signals are applied to the system.
