摘要

In this study, a possible trend that may be occurring is being investigated, and the trend being investigated is the total annual rainfalls fall in Eastern Anatolia Region of Turkey. For this reason, Mann-Kendall test, Spearman's Rho test and Sen's slope method was applied to total annual rainfall data collected from 38 rainfall observation stations.
According to the study results; there has been a significant decrease in rainfall in 4 observation stations: Baskil, Dogansehir, Ercis and Sivrice, with 95% confidence level. There is a 10% significance level, that Agin and Elazig have also seen decreasing trends in rainfall. According to Sen's slope method there has been a a decrease observed in 28 stations, also there has been no significant increase in rainfall being observed in 10 other observation stations. There is a general increasing trend in rainfall that dominates Eastern Anatolia Region's northern parts, while a decreasing trend is occurring in the southern and western region. These results could be due to regional climate changes and are consistent with projections related to climate change phenomena.
