Nanopolyaniline for immobilisation of biomolecules: preliminary study

摘要

Nanopolyaniline was synthesised under controlled experimental conditions in the presence of hydrochloric acid as acid dopant and with ammonium persulphate as oxidising agent. Polyaniline particles of sizes in the range of 1-15 nm were successfully synthesised. Biomolecular interactions of analyte molecules with bioreceptor compounds adsorbed onto polyaniline particles were measured using surface plasmon resonance. It was found that nanopolyaniline may serve as templates for immobilisation of biomolecules and provides a higher sensitivity in the detection of interaction between biomolecules. It can be utilised for applications in immunosensors and biosensor devices for improved sensitivity of detection.
