摘要

Hydraulic model experiments were performed to improve the stirring effect in the ladle refining with the ultrasonic horn at 20 kHz frequency. The cavitation intensity and ultrasonic field distribution were measured by dyeing method. The dynamic behavior of cavitation bubbles were observed by high speed camera. The results show that the mixing time by ultrasonic can be decreased to 35s, so the dynamic conditions can be improved apparently; stable and complete patterns can be got, then relative intensity and the antinode and node position can be determined from the pattern; the distribution of ultrasonic fields is circular cone; the cavitation bubbles are confirmed to be generated around the antinode of sound pressure during the ultrasonic stiring and move linearly in random directions.
