摘要
A maximum giant magnetoresistance (GMR) value of 22% has been determined in melt-spun Cu70Co30 ribbon after annealing at 450 degrees C for 1 h. Two types of Go-rich precipitates were found in the as-spun ribbon, but neither of these appear to contribute to the observed GMR. On annealing, a very fine distribution of Co-rich precipitates forms at temperatures above 300 degrees C which are responsible for the high GMR developed in this material.
