摘要

Pollution with toxic polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins, polychlorinated dibenzofurans, and polychlorinated biphenyls has been studied in rivers of the Chechen Republic using several fish species. The pollution of the river network of the republic with dioxin-like xenobiotics is assessed as relatively low. A tendency towards the isomer-specific bioaccumulation of toxicants has been revealed in different freshwater fish species. The Terek River is shown to be more strongly polluted than its tributary, the Sunzha River. Possible sources of pollution and the routes by which it spreads in the ecosystem of the region are analyzed.
