Size Effect of Nuclear Graphite Flexural Strength

摘要

In order to research the size effect of nuclear graphite, specimen size, support span length and loading mode (3-point and 4-point flexural strength) were used to test their influence on the flexural strength. The results show that the flexural strength decreases as the specimen size and the support span length increase, the 3-point flexural strength is bigger than 4-point flexural strength, which is the obvious size effect phenomenon. In addition, the Weibull size effect equation was used to verify experimental results.
