摘要

The present paper reports on the synthesis and characterisation of some new 3d and 4f metal complexes with aromatic biguanide derivative, 1-(m-chlorophenyl)-biguanide (m-C1PHBig), as ligand, in different molar ratio, corresponding to the following general formula proposed M-4f: m-C1PHBig/ (1:1), where M-4f= La; M-3d: m-C1PHBig/ (1:1), where M-3d = Cu(II), Fe(III), Cr(III) and M-4f:M-3d: m-C1PHBig/ (2:1:6), where M-4f =La, M-3d= Cu. The new obtained compounds were characterised by elemental chemical analysis, electric molar conductivity, solubility in different organic solvents, magnetic susceptibility, electronic and IR spectra. The spectral data confirm the proposal structures for the synthesised compounds. The antimicrobial activity of the new complexes was tested against some gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria strains and fungi species, micro-discs paper filter diffusion and micro-dilution methods were used, in the aim to identify their specific antibacterial or/and antifungal action. The results show that all compounds present antimicrobial activity against most of the tested species.
