摘要

In the present paper, we propose a new approach for simulating the aerodynamic vibration of structures in a wind tunnel and discuss its application. The concept of the proposed approach is a step-by-step computer simulation using the measured external wind force acting on a structural model. This approach is referred to as the modified hybrid aerodynamic vibration technique (MHAT). At first, the concept, advantages, and limitations are explained. Then, the development of a simulation system based on this approach and the accuracy of this system are described. In addition, an outline of the conducted simulation by means of this approach is indicated. In order to demonstrate the application of the MHAT, two simulations are performed. First, the aerodynamic vibration of a square prism on a single-degree-of-freedom elastic model is simulated in three-dimensional flow, and the air pressure field acting on the model is analyzed by means of proper orthogonal decomposition. Second, the aerodynamic vibration of a square prism is simulated using a multi-degree-of-freedom model with base isolation. These simulations prove the broad applicability of the MHAT.
