New class of frequency selective surface based on non-resonant elements with high stability

The authors designed and fabricated a new frequency selective surface (FSS) based on non-resonant elements. Unlike other FSSs, which use aperture element this one utilises patch element to achieve band-pass response. Simulation shows that the new FSS has a large bandwidth and a stable response regarding to the change of incident angle.
