摘要

Anticommutator Green's functions, and the energy spectra of zigzag single-walled carbon nanotubes are determined using the Hubbard model with consideration of the finite curvature of the nanotube surface. The obtained spectra of the elementary excitations for nanotubes (9,0) have shown that the "metallic" zigzag nanotubes are actually narrow-gap semiconductors. A comparison with the experimental values of the band gaps has shown that the theoretical and experimental values coincide. Published by AIP Publishing.
