摘要

This study developed the equipment for measuring the damping of a viscous damper based on the principle of equipment resonance. Firstly, an excitation system that produces sinusoidal torque excitation by unbalanced inertial force of eccentric blocks at the planet gears of a planet-sun-gear system was designed and manufactured. Secondly, a driven system was developed to rotate the viscous damper at different speeds. Rotation speed of the viscous damper and excitation frequency are independent. Torsional vibration of the damper is obtained and analyzed to get the resonance frequency of the driven shaft and damper system. Thirdly, an equivalent torsional vibration model of the equipment was established. Inertia parameters in the model were determined by calculations, while torsional stiffness and damping of excitation system are obtained by experiment.
