摘要

The article mainly discussed about the key technological question involved in automation of the mould finishing machining deeply, and put forward the reasonable technology route based on magnetic abrasive finishing (MAF) and digitizing profile modeling of it. MAF has many advantages, such as high flexibility, self-adaptability, high precision etc., so it is more suitable for machine 3D curved surface than traditional rigidity cutting tools. As the mould surface is irregular, so it is difficult to program, using MAF machine tool that developed by self has been solved the difficult problem primely, the machine tool put the numerical control machining ability, digital scanning, measuring and automatically programming together. Because the step of profile modeling with machining in the same machine tool, and adopting method that machining clearance equal to radius of gauge outfit minus radius of magnetic pole, so the machining clearance can be ensured. In the finally, it also research the key techniques involved in project, and give out resolved measures. By the experiment can prove, the combination of MAF and digitizing profile modeling is the one of best effective methods to machine cavity surface of mould and die.
