In the title dimeric complex, [Cu-2(C2O4)Cl-2(C12H8N2)(2)], which lies on a crystallographic inversion center, the Cu-II ion is in a distorted trigonal-bipyramidal coordination geometry formed by two N atoms from a phen ligand, two O atoms from a bridging oxalate ligand and one Cl atom. In the crystal structure, pairs of molecules related by pi-pi stacking interactions are stacked along the c-axis direction
