摘要
In order to realize automatic cutting of multi-pipe intersecting curves with welding groove, a CAD/CAM system for 5-axis CNC pipe cutting was proposed on the base of Parasolid modeling kernel, which had the functions of automatic generation of intersecting pipe model, automatic extraction and scattering of intersecting curves, automatic determination of the cutting position and posture, and the simulation of pipe cutting. The case studies show that the CAD/CAM system can automatically extract the intersecting curves and generate 5-axis CNC cutting path for intersecting curves with welding grooves, and runs stably and reliably.
