The title molecule, C(13)H(13)NO(5), adopts a Z conformation at the C C double bond. The ethoxy atoms of the ethyl ester group are disordered over two orientations in a 3: 2 ratio. Weak intermolecular C-H center dot center dot center dot O hydrogen bonds help to establish the packing.
