摘要

This paper analyzes the characteristics of antenna transmitting and receiving ultra-wideband radar signals. The result shows that no UWB antenna can content both transmitting and receiving conditions without distortion. As an often used ultra-wideband antenna, electric dipole can produce differential effect to transmitting signal waves and can receive signals without distortion. According to the theory of antenna, and because the available aperture of electric dipole antenna is direct ratio to its frequency, the paper proves that the electric dipole antenna is content with the non-distortion qualification of UWB antenna, and the conclusion is also validated by simulation.
