The configuration and performance of the model HIREFS (High Resolution Erect Field Spectrometer) have been described. The instrument was used to observe the space resolved spectra of the Ti slab target illuminated with prepulse technique. The Ne-like Ti 32.6nm soft X-ray lasing has been obtained and discussed.
