摘要

An easy and versatile method of generating a nano-sized patterned surface on a nonwoven mat of electrospun poly(E-caprolactone) (PCL) fibers is described. A nano-sized pattern could be achieved on the surface of the microfiber mat using a modified plasma-treatment method with two nano-sized templates (100 and 800nm). Initial cell attachment and proliferation using osteoblast-like-cells (MG63) were enhanced dramatically compared to a conventional plasma-treated fiber mat. This new type of plasma-treated fiber has high potential as a biomaterial, and can be employed for various tissue engineering applications.
