摘要

In the present work, we study the variation trends of the heating values atypical surface fuels in Guangdong forest areas and explore the correlations of the heating values based on the fuel property data. The samples come from 18 vegetations including vines, 'terns, herbs, gramineaes, shrubs and tree liners. Test results of the samples indicate that their lower heating values on the received basis (LI1\Ts) vary in a broad range from 0.96 to 17.27 MJ kg-I; for the samples having higher moisture content, their LfIVs maintain at lower levels as the contents of volatile matter and fixed carbon are both reduced. The higher heating values of these samples on the air-dried basis (HHVs) fluctuate in a very narrow range, with an average of 20.21 MJ kg-i. Further analyses demonstrate that the heating values of these wildland fuels can be precisely correlated in terms of the contents of C, 11 and 0 elements, with the fomiulas of LH V=0.3099C(ar)+1.0015H(ar), 0.10370(ar), and HHV=0.3099C(d)+t4999H(d)-0.1022O(d).
