Four species of aquatic hyphomycetes occurring as new root endophytes

Four species of aquatic hyphomycetes viz., Flagellospora penicillioides, Isthmotricladia gombakiensis, Tetracladium apiense and T breve collected from the wet and ravine areas at Nainital, Uttarakhand, India, were recorded as new root endophytes from the roots of different riparian plants for the first time. The latter species, Tetracladium breve was also found a new addition to Indian aquatic fungi.
