摘要

An approach is presented for designing initial fields for a series of computations of heat transfer and fluid flow problems. Through polynomial interpolation with existing converged solutions, better initial fields are obtained for the solutions of the next case. This procedure is repeated until all the cases are numerically simulated. This method is called the interpolative initial field method. By using this method the total iteration times can be substantially reduced. In addition, the more cases are used in the interpolation, the more efficient the interpolative initial filed will be.
