This is a review of literature published in 2009 that covered issues related to the presence of pesticides and herbicides in the environment. The review is divided into nine sections, including analytical methods, toxicology, monitoring, ecology, fate and transport, modeling, risk assessment, management and minimization, and treatment strategies.
