Analysis and Investigation of Ellipsoidal Structure Based Gas Detection System

摘要

In this paper the interfere theroy of two infrared beam with narrow band was employed to analyze a new ellipsoidal chamber structure for the detection of mechane with the wavelength of 3.31 mu m. The model of the ellipsoidal structure was set up and analyzed detailed. The light signal was collected to the detector after the gas absorption. The signal intensity was enhanced significantly. Though current mid-infrared light source and detectors are not as good as near-infrared ones, the ellipsoidal structure can be employed to enhance the light intensity and responsiveness. Moreover, differential theory and interference property are also analyzed in this structure. Theoretical calculations and simulation analysis show that output increased nearly 310 times with ellipsoid cavity, which also has been proved by experimental value of 220 in previous work. Meanwhile, the measured minimum concentration of gas can reach 50 ppm with low cost light source and detector.
