摘要

The effective thermal conductivity (Kc) in a metal hydride bed is an important parameter in studying the enhancement of heat transfer in metal hydride beds and in designing the reactor vessels containing metal hydrides in an optimum way. Unfortunately, only experimental studies on Kc are reported until now. In the present study, a theoretical model calculating Kc in a metal hydride bed is presented and the dependence of Kc on various parameters of the metal hydride bed is discussed. The theoretical results of the effective thermal conductivity in TiMn15 hydride bed calculated by the model is in a good agreement with the reported experimental results.
