We present phenomenological studies that assess the interest of analysing B-0 -> D-0 ((D) over bar (0))K*(0) decays to measure gamma. We then describe two experimental analyses of this channel, performed on BABAR data. The first one uses an ADS technique, with neutral D reconstructed in the K-+/-pi(-/+), K-+/-pi(-/+)pi(0) and K-+/-pi(-/+)pi(-/+)pi(+/-) final states. The second one uses a Dalitz technique, with neutral D reconstructed in the KS pi(+)pi(-) final state. From the combination of these results, we obtain the first measurement of r(S) and of the angle 7 using these neutral B-0 -> D-0 ((D) over bar (0)) K*(0) decays. We conclude with some data driven considerations about the sensitivity to gamma of B-0 -> D-0((D) over bar (0))K*(0) decays and projections to higher statistics scenarios.
