We study the existence of solutions for the Cauchy problem of the non-isotropically perturbed nonlinear Schrodinger equation iu(i) Delta u a Sigma(d)(im1) vertical bar u vertical bar(alpha) u = 0, where a is a real number, a not equal 0, alpha is a positive constant, 1 <= d <= n and x = (x(1),x(2)....,x(n)) epsilon R-n, t epsilon R. By using Kato's method, we establish local solvability results for initial data belonging to w(2)(2,1) (R-n ).
