摘要

Vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) form when vehicles are equipped with devices capable for short-range wireless communication. Research on information dissemination in road networks scenarios based on VANETs simulations is a challenging task, because it requires the co-simulation models which can simultaneously establish vehicle networks and communication networks. In this study, three different vehicle scenarios are proposed to analyze the difference between vehicle traces in simulation experiments: city road, expressway and highway. More specifically, the three experimental scenarios are established using VanetMobiSim to produce vehicle traces, and information dissemination in the different scenarios is simulated using NS-3. Four simulation parameters including throughput, delay, package drop, and jitter are analyzed in this study. The experimental results show that the information transmission performances of the three scenarios behave differently, and the highway scenario has a relatively better performance.
