摘要

Increasing the working frequency can reduce the size of the magnetic component, however, the high frequency eddy effects including skin and proximity effects raise the winding losses. Based on one-dimensional model for windings of magnetic components, the eddy effects in planar magnetic components are analyzed. By utilizing orthogonality between skin effect and proximity effect under one-dimensional condition, the tendency of the losses caused by skin effect and proximity effect individually under different winding thickness and frequency is concluded. The conclusion that simply paralleling the thin windings divided from the original thick winding can not decrease the winding losses is given. Meanwhile the principle is analyzed by using interleaving techniques to decrease winding losses in transformer. The effectiveness of the analysis is verified by the Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and experiments.
