摘要

Aiming at the existing problem of temperature controlling in high voltage direct current (HVDC) cable heat cycle test, a method of using water circulation channel for temperature controlling of cable external temperature was proposed. A three-dimensional (3D) model of the water channel was set up through thermo-fluid-solid coupling. Temperature difference of cable insulation layer, axial temperature distribution of water channel and the fluid field under different water injection rates (0.1~1.5 m/s) and temperature (45~60℃) were calculated by the use of COMSOL software. Results show that the water channel can effectively control the temperature of HVDC cable heat cycle test. Reference values of water injection rate that satisfy corresponding temperature control accuracy and stability were also given.
