摘要

In the application of real-time monitoring oriented wireless sensor network (WSN), some related issues about nodes design such as system structure, protocols, energy consumption, have been widely studied. However, the existing emergency or abnormal events in real-time monitoring will bring different solution between alarm signals and ordinary signals, and these two kinds of signals are generated by the monitoring nodes in the system, e.g. mountain flood monitoring and warning system of regime monitoring. Few researches have been focused on how to guarantee the important warning signals for real-time application and how to balance transmission quality of alarm signals and ordinary signals. In order to solve this problem, this paper proposes an improved carrier sense multiple access with collision avoidance (CSMA/CA) protocol based on weighted-fair-queue algorithm (FQ-CSMA/CA). Experiments show that the proposed algorithm has better performance in the sending of data frame, average queue delay and energy consumption than that of existing algorithms. ? 2005 by Binary Information Press.
