摘要

This paper presents an investigation of ASR products on ratios of Reactive Aggregate (RA) to cement and reactive aggregate content. The following test methods were used: accelerated mortar bat test (ASTM C 1260), Scanning Electron Microcopys (SEM)-Secondary Electron Image (SEI) and Electron Probe Microanalyser (EPMA)-Backscattered Electron Image (BSEI). Reactive and nonreactive aggregate used are a metamorphic rock (hornfels) and volcanic rock (altered andesite), which are originated from Korea. In the result of mortar bar test, it is considered that there is no consistent relationship between reactive aggregate to cement ratios and expansion values. Reactive hornfels aggregate (from Korea) used showed a pessimum behavior in this test. The morphologies of reactive products were different for all the mortar bars. Massive and textured (spongy, grainy) gels, and crystalline (rosettelike) products were observed. EPMA results showed that the reactive products formed in the mortar bars had different CaO/SiO(2) ratios. It was found that the expansion values of mortar bars were larger for lower CaO/SiO2 ratios of reactive products formed in mortar bars.
