An enriched K-40 source for atomic cooling

摘要

We have developed an enriched K-40 source used in K-40-Rb-87 atomic mixture cooling experiment. The enriched K-40 source is a home-made dispenser which releases K-40 atoms by the redox reaction between K-40 enriched KCl and calcium. It is efficient and easy to be made and used. We collect 10(7) similar to 10(8) K-40 atoms in collection magneto-optical trap. With this dispenser, we perform a quantum degenerate Fermi gas experiment.
