Recent developments in sample treatment, such as liquid- and solid-phase extraction, coprecipitation, and electrodeposition, are presented. In addition, this review considers the benefits and drawbacks of atomic absorption techniques (F-AAS, GF-AAS, CV-AAS, HG-AAS, and HR-CSAAS) used to identify and quantify different elements in a variety of matrices.
