Polyaniline (PANI) was deposited onto poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) substrates through both diffusion-controlled and direct deposition methods. The conductive properties of both composites were examined experimentally. Assessment of the stability of the conductivity for the composites during weathering and high temperature exposure showed that both composites exhibit good stability in the indoor environment, while at higher temperature (>100 degrees C), or in water or alkali aqueous solution, the PMMA/PANI composites prepared by the diffusion-controlled deposition method displayed much better stability than those prepared by direct deposition.
