A new genus and two new species of the family Microdispidae (Acari: Pygmephoroidea) from southern Chile

A new monotypic genus Proreductodispus Khaustov and Tolstikov gen. nov. (Acari: Pygmephoroidea: Microdispidae) with type species Proreductodispuspatagoniensissp. nov. is described from mosses in southern Chile. A new species Phyllodispus spinosus Khaustov and Tolstikov sp. nov. is also described from mosses in southern Chile. The genus Phyllodispus Mahunka, 1970 is redefined.
