摘要

To suppress regenerative chatter and improve surface precision of workpiece in grinding operation, the cylindrical plunging grinding of workpiece and grinding wheel regenerative chatter models were built based on regenerative chatter dynamic theory, while considering the regenerative chatter of both workpiece and grinding wheel. The stability analysis method suitable to the characteristic of cylindrical plunging grinding was investigated; the stability chart was portrayed, then the regenerative chatter stability evaluation methods were also concluded. Plunging grinding experimental results agreed well with the theoretical ones. It testifies the regenerative chatter stability theory.
