摘要

The first zoeas of Polyonyx sinensis and Porcellana pulchra are described and illustrated for the first time on the basis of laboratory-reared material. The morphological characteristics of zoeas of the two species including the chromatophore pattern, are compared with those of other six porcellanid species known from Korean waters. The zoea of Polyonyx sinensis has a rostral carapace spine with a red subterminal band, translucent posterior carapace spines, and a large brownish black chromatophore between the third and fourth pleomeres, whereas, Porcellana pulchra is characterized by an entirely red rostral carapace spine, pale red posterior carapace spines, and a pleon with a ventral row of red chromatophores. For the identification of zoeas of Korean porcellanid species, the images of living specimens and a key to species are provided.
