摘要

The gas flow characteristics in a holey optical fiber with a diameter of 5 μm and a length of 5 cm is studied using Navier-Stokes equations, in which first and second order slip boundary conditions are introduced with Albertoni and Sreekanth models, respectively. It is noted that the boundary slip conditions have significant influence on the flow distribution, as large as 10%, by comparing with the case without boundary slip. The ranges of flow pressure and velocity in the fiber channel are also discussed, which can be a guide to the future experimental work.
