摘要

Neuromuscular blocking agents (NMBA) are the molecules, the most commonly involved in anaphylactic peranaesthetic shocks. This case report concerns a 66-year-old atopic woman, presenting with NMBA sensitization detected at the time of the exploration of a pholcodine allergy. It is very likely that pholcodine is a cause of NMBA sensitization due to the structural homology between these molecules. Consequently, in a pholcodine allergic patient, a NMBA sensitization must be sought to reduce the risk of peranaesthetic anaphylactic accidents.
