This paper presents the analysis and mathematical modeling of the synchronous reluctance motor, with the state equations and the results obtained for a 4 pole motor (2 hp). Framework based in direct and quadrature axes is used to observe the rotor behavior and to obtain transient and steady state profile of electromagnetic torque. Simulation results also include stator voltage and current.
